How to publish a web service in remote server?

Is that the copy method will work? Please guide me; I am currently doing a testing of web service

Hi,

What do you mean in a remote server? Can you copy the application folder and create the website on the remote server via RDP?

Sorry if I don't get what you mean.

Remote server menas I have only Server name with me.
Any way  you can tell me diffrent ways of doing it.

A method to backup and restore on another server is via scripts, first backup the website, and copy the folder where the site is created at:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/7429a26d-45f0-41fe-bf45-a6e1d3be7ce1.mspx?mfr=true and http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/5e7e923c-b374-4872-a8f5-da85ec1315fd.mspx?mfr=true

And backup the metabase: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324277

Restore both on the remote server.

I think it is bit confusing.
Let me clear again exactly what i want.

I have a web service on my local machine and i want to host that to a different machine then what is the options to do that or how can I do that through .net development environment

Ok, then this a procedure of creating a web site in IIS 6.0 server http://www.startvbdotnet.com/aspsite/extras/deploy2.aspx
Though you ought to backup your local site, as in copying the folder where the site is on to the server.
Did I made it clear? Any doubts let me know...
