We have an exchange 2003 server handling all our staff emails,

I need a way to read the contents of the e-mails going to and from a specific memeber of staff without changing the users password and logging in.

I need this to be free or cheep seeing as we have pretty much spent our budget..... any ideas?

Yeah, there are several ways to do this.

Simplest is to goto message tracking in ESM and search for the mail account and click search.
or
grant yourself full mailbox permissions to the mail account and open it on your pc. However you may miss emails if they are deleted and then purged from the dumpster.

ESM Message tracking wont allow me to see the content of teh email, only the subject bar and from/to

as an admin in AD i have full control permission of the account, how do i get to view the emails?
    - i can only set up 1 exchange account on outlook 2003 or so it says...
