I have a mac and a pc. I purchase office 2008 for the pc and was wondering if it is possible to use one out of the two license available on the mac if i download the CD for mac. Please let me know if it is possible or if i have to purchase another copy of office 2008 for the mac. I was hoping to just have to buy one.

The answer would be no. Office for the Mac is a totally different product and you need to purchase a real copy of it.

Well...there's two things. One is the legality and I'm pretty sure doing that would violate the license  The other is the actual product key and no, that won't work.  MS keys don't even work between OEM and Open License copies of the same product.
