MS Access 2003 PTDatePicker Is Not Updating to Current Date

The PTDatePicker (autocalendar date finder) is not updating to the current date.  How can I make it reflect todays date?

in the load event of your form

private sub form_load()

me.PTDatePicker.value=date()

end sub
