Not sure what your you are trying to do...
Is your whole domain name changing?  Is just your computer name changing?
Are you ading another domian name for business purposes...ie
your now domain.com and poeple send you email as such but your now going to be known as domain.net?

Here is an article I read a while back on doing this process.  Please see if it is of any help to you.

In my case I have a domain called domain1.com. All of my e-mails are something like abc@domain1.com. We did not re-register the domain in time so we had to register another domain instead. The domanin name is domain2 and all e-mail addresses must be something like abc@domain2.com. As far as I know I am not supposed to update Active Directory. I only need to update DNS and Exchange but I don't even know if that is possible.

Update your recipient policy to reflect the new address and users internally can send from that domain name.  Nappy D 's article reference is the way to go to get a second domain name working with your existing setup.
