when I print a document it drops the internet connection

I have a win xp pro serv pak 2 box that when I'm at home and connected to my dsl internet. If I try to print to my Dell MF Printer, the internet connection will drop. Today I also noticed that it droped me when I did a copy on my multi-funtion printer.
I have deleted & reinstalled the print driver, but it is still kicking me offline when I print a document from any program.

Help ?

First time I hear about this issue, feel quite interesting to test out what is the solution is .... A few question to confirm with your situation:

are you sure the connection start to drop if you try to print something ?? Or it will try to drop suddenly even you not printing any at all ??? Are you downloading any others movie or files when you want to print ?? (Sometimes a huge traffic can cause a internet connection to drop if the speed of the connection not able to handle it ......

It was a different issue than what I had originally described & I was ablew to fix it on my own.. But thanks for your help
