Client VPN drops randomly

Hi

Several clients VPN onto an SBS server running RRAS, they then connect to a terminal server. This initially works fine, however at random intervals the vpn connection appears to drop. Even though the vpn connection status says connected, no traffic passes through it i.e. cant ping any server.

I though about MTU sizes, but I'm unclear what I should change and how, Should i lower the MTU on the users XP desktop, home router or on SBS server, office router?

There is one event log that im not sure about that reads " The reason for disconnecting was administrative settings or explicit req" event id 20194

Could possibly be key regeneration and exchanged to the clients causing the outage?
