I am trying to understand some of backend active directory. I had a user that was (logged) on to a gc in anotehr state came to find out he recieved gpt.ini his policy from that server so it showed him logged on accessing gpt.ini and then logged out. we have Domain controllers on site where this user is located why woudl he get a policy update from a server in anotehr site in anotehr location, how does ad deside where to grab this information from thank you
