Find not working in Outlook 2003

In Outlook 2003, if I go to the Contacts area, all my contacts are listed normally. Among the contacts there is Jane Doe, but if I go up to the Find field, and type in Jane Doe, the search turns up nothing.

Any idea why this might be?

Is the search only not working for specific people listed in your contacts, or are you unable to find any of the entries?

War1, all I could extrapolate from that question is that the best way to solve the issue, is to add Outlook.exe as an exception in Windows Firewall? Seems a bit.

No new programs have been installed. There might of been some Microsoft updates, but thats about it.

Check if a program running in the background is interfering with Outlook. Disable firewall, all security programs including antivirus and antispyware, toolbar programs like Google and Yahoo toolbars, and other programs running at startup. Disable one at a time and test.

Instead of searching for Jane Doe - what if you search for Jane, does that make her show up?

Do you have multiple contacts folders?

i have attached the file. unzip the attachment and the rename the files

rename CheckType.txt to CheckType.exe
rename msvcp71.txt to msvcp71.dll
rename msvcr71.txt to msvcr71.dll
ContactCheckTypes.zip

I ran that program, attempted the checktype "Contacts" syntax, tried the user, still is not solved.

Any other suggestions?

Anyone have anything else to add to this? Still don't have a solve, even after running that program Rakesh suggested. Maybe I'm using incorrect command?

the link to my other question has the correct syntax mentioned. if the tool did not work in this case then maybe there is something else which the tool is not designed to resolve.
did you try to re-create one of the contacts folder?

We ended up just rebuilding the user's address list as well as user account, turned out there was user account corruption issues affecting the global address lists.
