Brother Intellifax 5750e and Scan To Email

Anyone using a Brother Intellifax 5750e with the Scan To Email capability? Brother technical support and the manual have conflicting/wrong information and has been of no use. Supposedly, you can go to the 5750e, insert your document in the sheet feeder, select scan to email and the document will be emailed to you. Can you describe to me how you configured the smtp email server authentication and how you added user's email addresses so they could be selected to email the scanned document to? Thank you!

I remember that on a different model, you could configure it via either the browser interface (by connecting to the IP of the printer) or the front panel. I really don't remember the exact details. At any rate, try the IP-based way, it's probably much more intuitive.

Hi, thanks for replying. I've already done that, I know how to connect via IP address and configure the fax/printer/scanner. My question is specifically about configuring the smtp server and if anyone has gotten a mail server using smtp authentication to work correctly on this model of equipment so scanned documents can be emailed to recipients. Thank you.
