Symantec Folder Size

Symantec problem again

My Symantec Endpoint server still having the same folder size problem after i upgraded to MR2.

C:/Program Files/Symantec folder:

1. Symantec Endpoint Protection (360MB)
2. Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (70GB)

Can someone tell me why the folder 2 above took so much of disk space? Can it be remove? The other Endpoint server only have 40GB.

I found that all the size took up in Inetpub in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager folder...

The problem is often that SEPM will download tons of live updates, you can limit that by tons, which will often help (since by standard it will just take all it can get)

here is how

SEPM Console -> Admin -> Local Site -> Edit Site Properties -> Live Update Tab and set the Disk Space Management for Downloads to a value of 3. (or more/less, depending on what you want)

Is this help? How long it takes to decrease the storage size?

I cant see any diff after i restart my server :p

It wont decrease the size, it will prevent it from growing again.

You gotta delete the old updates first, though you can't just kill it all.

There are lot of posts on symantec's forum's about SEPM giving problems and about what you can/should delete, it's different for varying setup's
