Delete Timesheet Period that contains actual hours

I have a Project Server 2007 setup and recently created Timesheet Period for current month.  There were some active tasks for this month and it autopopulated the hours based on the percent complete for those tasks.  In Timesheet Peirod setup screen, I cannot delete the timesheet period as I can for any other periods that does not have any hours associated.  Is there a way to delete this in the record?

You can't delete the timesheet period when timesheets for that period exist. The users with timesheets for that period will need to delete them first. They may need to recall them before that can be done.
