I need to use the Certificate tab on IE 6.0. Though, this tab is grey out. Is there anyway I can enable it? I also need to do it without the admin right.  I would rather use Group Policy 'cause we have about 5000 workstation.

Thanks

Hi,
to enable or disable the certificate tab in IE6, please find the below image which shows how to disable the certificate tab, to access GPO console,  Start > Run > gpedit.msc > User configuration > Admisnistrative templates > windows components >Internet explorer > Disable changing certificate settings.  then gpupdate when the GPO is applied check internet explorer properties.

Hope this helps,

Regards

Just an update on the above, sorry i missed out the admnistrative rights bit, i am sure how you would have access to GPO console if it is disabled for users, but this the way normallly to acheive it.

I have administrative right on the domain controller. It seems like this instruction is for local group policy. Will this instruction also work for domain group policy?
