Put does not upload the file

I am using the put button to upload items to my website but it is not working.  I don't get an error or anything.  The progress bar shows and everything and it looks like it's successful but the changes do file does not get uploaded.  I check on the server and it doesn't not have the update even though Dreamweaver makes it look like it put the file.  I am using the latest version of Dreamweaver 8.0.2 and I have tested the connection and that works fine.  Why do my files not get uploaded???

Hi vb9666,

Is check-in/check-out enabled on this site?

Try doing a Synchronize instead of a Put and see if that works.

Check-in/check-out is not enabled and the synchronizing did not work either.  It said no synchronization was needed but I updated the file anyways and it still didn't actually update.

Weird.  A Put should always override the destination file...

Try one more thing:

Save the file and close it.

Do Site | Advanced | Recreate Site Cache

Reconnect to the remote and use the "refresh" button on the Files Panel to force DW to update it's views of the local and remote.

---------------------

How radical are the changes?  Are we talking about just one letter or is there is significant difference in the files?

I tried the Recreate Site Cache and it did not fix the problem.  The changes I am making are very minor.  It's basically a report that shows an amortization schedule and I had to change the stored interest rates on the page.  I have made other minor changes recently and the put has not worked on those pages either.

Can you Put anything to any site?  Maybe your FTP user does not have full permissions?

Are you saving files to same directory of Files section in dreamweaver? Manage site says error if the ftp has permission denied. Please check file which you saving to machine versus the file you upload....

Or try rebuilding the site and do that again. Try to enable passive mode and checkin/checkout.

Can someone please remove this question.  I ended up deleting the site and recreating it and that seemed to fix the problem.

Instead of deleting the question, just accept you own post above as the solution since it is one.
