I am very new to Mac's and have a client that uses them. When he recieves a zipped file in his mail he is unable to open the file without saving it first and then extracting it. Is there a way for him to view the zipped files without actually saving them and then extracting them?

Thank you,

Wouldnt I still have to save the attachment? What I am looking for is a way to open an attached zip file (from an email) without having to save it to disc first) I was thinking this would just be a setting somewhere???

The attachments that are visible as an attachment in an email .. are ALREADY downloaded on your mac... they are hiding in a folder in your user Library folder called Mail Downloads.
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Mail Downloads

Rather than save it again .. open the folder mentioned above and use the QuickLook tool which you download and install as mentioned by strung
http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/software/zip/download/Zip.qlgenerator01.zip

And NO .. there is NO way to just open the ZIP and look inside from inside Mail
