Network Homes Question

Hi there,
I have around 700 users, with network home directories setup on LACIE firewire 800 disks. I was wondering what would be the program i could run to optimize/speed-up those disks? i have disk warrior4.1, but i am being cautious...
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Rsome, OS X experts see no advantage in any defragmenting of OS X drives. OS X doesn't work the same as Windows. It automatically defrags contiguous files but it doesn't defrag slack. Here is a balanced resource page.
