Detection of additional NW card while installing Checkpoint NGX R 62

while installing checkpoint NGX R 62 in  HP desktop PC (HP Dx 2300 ) the additional Network card ( PCI - 3 COM with intel chip 10/100 Mbps)  is not getting detected after installation whereas the onboard NW card gets detected?
Tried changing with various NW card but the additional NW card does not get detected.

Please note the Chceckpoint NGX R62 is bundled with Linux

Here's the NIC HCL for SecurePlatform:
http://www.checkpoint.com/services/techsupport/hcl/nic/index.html

As you can see SPLAT 2.6 adds quite a few more nics than normal SPLAT.
