I can use the mmc onsole to administer my wsus updates. The problem is when I click on the root and then in the Overview, I can use the hot-links to move around, but under the Resources if I click on the hot-lins like WSUS Home Page ect. i get an error message.  and it gives me the option to report this to microsoft or unload the snap-in and contiune running.  I've updated to the mmc ver. 3.1.6001.65 and wsus has the lastest service pack.  Whats out is that I installed the wsus console on my laptop and can use the hot-links under the resource and view the different wsus items.  I've googled the error message and can not come up with anything. i'll attach a screen shot of the message.

thanks

I see this has gone unanswered. Maybe I can take a stab at this.

What netframework are you using? Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the snapin?

You can build up your netframework by going to the -->Windows update<<-- web site. To determine what netframework you are using, go to control pannel>>add/remove programs and scroll down the list to see what netframework or .NET you are using.

I believe you build these up to netframework three for WSUS 3 and MMC console.

Once you have updated to a newer netframework, try the MMC snapin for WSUS.
