I deleted a 600MB file from a VHD in Virtual PC, but the space was not reflected in the Free Space on the C: drive in the VM. How can I reclaim this space?

Why did I miss something so simple? I was started to complicate things by thinking I would have to defrag the VHD to reclaim the space or something!
