I have a BT Home Hub and a Belkin USB wireless adapter, when this is working it;s great but very often the Belkin looses connection so I purchased a Linksys wrt54G when I failed to get this to work I purchased a wrt54GL and I can not get this to work as I want.

This is what I want :-

Internet--------BT Home Hub > > > > > > > > > >Linksys--------------PC

(Where > > > signifys wireless connection)

Basically its getting the BT Hub and Linksys to talk to each other over wireless that the problem.

I think what you are looking for is a client bridge solution.
Fortunately the WRT54GL is the perfect device for it...with 3rd party firmware.

Go to http://dd-wrt.com to download the version for your device.

The new firmware makes that router much more powerful and flexible.
You'll then have the capability to put the WRT54GL into client bridge mode.

DD-WRT is firmware that you can use to replace the Linksys firmware in your WRT54GL.

The new firmware turns your router into a much more powerful device, adding capabilities such as:
    VPN
    Variable tx power for wireless
    WDS
    VLANs
    Link aggregation
    Multiple DHCP scopes
    Radius capability
    SNMP
    Hotspot
    DMZ
    802.1x
and more

One of the new features is to allow you to use the WRT54GL as a wireless bridge.
It makes a connection to your existing wireless network so that any devices connected to the WRT54GL through it's LAN ports are part of the network and can get on the internet.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.
