I have 2 sub tasks that I don't need anymore.  I want to delete them.  MS Project won't let me.  They simply won't go away.

I do not have any dependencies and I don't care about them anyhow.

I'm frustrated... I want these tasks GONE!!!

Tmonteit,

How are you doing?

Check and see what version of Project 2003 you have (orignial, SP1, SP2, etc). To do this click Help > About Microsoft Office Project. I know there were some issues in SP1 and prior that indented and outdented tasks couldn't always be deleted (some sort of internal dependency was created).

Have you tried highlighting the entire task (clicking the grey box to the left of the task name) and deleting it that way?

This link shows how to delete a task in the standard format: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project/HP453019581033.aspx?pid=CH010688781033

Can you post your .mpp file perhaps?

Hope this helps!
Kevin

Unfortunately, I had to rebuild the entire task.  If I see it again, I'll check the link.

Thanks for the response

Tmonteit,

I am sorry to hear that, I know where you are coming from, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Thank you for the grade! Next time, if that happens, the link should take care of it!

Thank you,
Kevin
