What kind of GPS device should I get to make use of the GPS detection program in the SmartWi Connection Utility?

I own a Sony Vaio VGN TZ180N. The connection utility called SmartWi Connection has a section marked GPS which I assume can pull GPS data into the Microsoft Streets and Trips program that came bundled in the device. It doesn't appear to work with Sprint's EVDO network, so I suppose that there is a hardware device I am missing. What should I buy to get the use of this program feature?

I don't recomment you a PCMCIA slot. Will be better to have a GPS that you can put a couple of feets away of your laptop. So you have two choices:
USB: Have a look to this offer: http://www.expansys-usa.com/p.aspx?i=156728 (GlobalSat BU303A USB GPS Receiver)
Bluetooth: Same well-known brand: http://www.expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=157474 (GlobalSat BT-359C Bluetooth GPS Receiver)

what kind of gps do you have. You should use a regular USB or Bluetooth GPS.

I would like a recommendation for something simple to put into the laptop, perhaps in the PCMCIA slot. What do you advise?

Perfect. Thanks.
