Does anybody knows why I cannot assign a Get (FoundCount ) to a Local Variable ($Var) but i Can to a Global variable ($$Var)?

no, you should. it may not contain what you expect, but get(foundcount) is always available, even if no records found (=0). Just be care how you use it, variables are only text, so if for any reason there is a space after the number, you may have problems using it in a formula, but that's all.
to make sure $var is true, use a custom dialog in your script right after defining it.
or use the data viewer if you have the advanced version

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I did try what you say in a new DB and it worked. However it did not work with the other DB. I´ll check the exact scenario and make sure that everything is ok.

Your response is good though, probably something with RAM or the the file itself, but it works the way you say..
