I reinstalled Windows XP Pro on an IBM Thinkpad R51 (1836) - I installed many drivers from the lenovo website; however, there is on device showing in "device manager" that has a yellow exclamation point next to it.  "Network Controller" -- I tried installing all of the appropriate drivers from the website; but evidently I have missed something...  Your input is appreciated..  Thanks.

It could either be the WLAN driver which can be found here :http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67214
or the Lan driver which could be found here : http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-54046.
However it will be useful if you could provide us with the DEV ID and VEN ID. Right Click on the unknown device, go to properties and go to the details tab on the top of the box. Post that line that appears on that screen here 4 us 2 check.

Thanks

It was the WLAN driver -- I had not installed the correct driver.  Thank you for your prompt assistance....  Have a nice day.
