Outlook rules have become mangled

For various reasons, we moved a users pst file to another location.   After doing so, the Outlook Rules for incoming email began throwing errors about being unable to find folders.

The rules were set to move certain messages to specific folders i.e. If from XYZ, move to folder Inbox\XYZ.

When I look at the rules they appear to be "relative" references to the inbox i.e. independent of where the pst file is located.

Has anyone else seen this happen after a move of the pst?  Ideas welcome.

Rules in Outlook are not particularly friendly.   We ended up deleting a lot of them and reconfirming the folder locations on others.
