Outlook rules have become mangled

For various reasons, we moved a users pst file to another location.   After doing so, the Outlook Rules for incoming email began throwing errors about being unable to find folders.

The rules were set to move certain messages to specific folders i.e. If from XYZ, move to folder Inbox\XYZ.

When I look at the rules they appear to be "relative" references to the inbox i.e. independent of where the pst file is located.

Has anyone else seen this happen after a move of the pst?  Ideas welcome.

Which version of Outlook are we talking about here?

If 2003 - 2007

Might try running ScanPst:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287497

Clean Profile may also help. Can do so by closing Outlook and re-opening by:
Start>Run>outlook.exe /cleanprofile

If rules are completely mucked up might just pay to run Clean Rules and recreate the Rules as needed.
Start>Run>outlook.exe /cleanrules  (All custom rules will be removed. All one has to do is just recreate them)

Rules in Outlook are not particularly friendly.   We ended up deleting a lot of them and reconfirming the folder locations on others.
