Speed and Duplex commands missing on 2960

We have a 2960 connected to an ASA via ports 19 and 20, which show autonegotiated to half/100.  The ASA config shows that eth0/0 and man0/0 are both set to speed 100 duplex full.  We try and set the interfaces on the 2960 to the same, and it does not work.

Here is the output:
xxx-xxx-xxx(config-if)#speed 100
                         ^

xxx-xxx-xxx(config-if)#duplex full
                        ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

If we go to ANY other interface on the 2960, we can use the speed and duplex commands.
0/19 is trunk
0/20 is access

If the switch is connected to an ASA, then I assume this is for internet traffic.
Unless you have a circuit capable of more than 50Mbps, then I would be too concerned about it.

check out below:  the ^ appears at the beginning of speed and duplex, respectively.  These are the help menus from each respective interface.  This is where we are lost.  How are the duplex and speed commands not listed on gi0/21 but they are listed on gi0/17 (and every other if that is not connected to the ASA)

can you do a show run int fa 0/17 and also for 21 and post here?

found out it was because you can't manually set s/d on MDIX enabled ports.
