need to know if there is some setting or preference we can set in Outlook that will replace the default (Area Code) Exchange-Number format i.e. (702) 555-1234 and change it to the following format 702-555-1234.

 Thanks

Im kinda curious why. Is this a attempt to use a dial up connection to connect to the server....or is this a comsmetic change only in how the numbers are displayed in a particular area. If its a attempt to connect the format makes no difference, the computer will read the (xxx) -xxx-xxxx the same as xxx-xxx-xxxx.

I cant seem to bypass the autoformat in 2003. However in 2007 it is possible. Which one are you on?
