How to launch netscape/mozilla browser at specified URL from perl script

Need to launch oracle web application from a perl script in a unix environment.  How do I invoke browser (e.g. netscape or mozilla) at my specific URL.  Example:  system("/usr/sfw/bin/mozilla <URL Location>&")?

Your example has it.  It worked when I tested with firefox.

system("/usr/bin/firefox http://www.google.com&");

Open in new window

When URL is displayed there is a prompt for username/password.  How would I pass this info while invoking the browswer at this URL?
