We need to integrate GAL and free/busy calender status on exchange 2007 servers across a forest with two different domains, can this be done without using MIIS?  Do we need to create a trust between the domains?

Hello InoAdmin,

IIFP (contact generation for GAL sharing) and InterOrg (free/busy) tool would work.

InoAdmin,
Have you found anything yet? I am trying to do the same thing. The only thing I have found is from Quest Software (www.quest.com). Their collaboration Services will do this. But it is looking to be cost prohibative for me.

Microsoft hasn't confirmed compatibility with IIFP and exchange 2007, I will be deploying however because it is the most cost effective tool.

Good luck. Have you done any testing with IIFP? I started reading about that yesterday.
I am looking at doing some custom coding to create contacts in each domain based on mailboxes in the other. Not sure what I will do about calendars..
