Automatically print from feeder tray if open/loaded?

We have a few printers in our office. They are:

Xerox C530
Xerox Phaser 6300dn
OKI C5500n

What I am wanting to do is be capable of printing from the default paper tray but when I open the manual feeder and load paper/envelopes/labels onto it, I want it to automatically pull from the feeder tray rather than from the default tray or without me having to go in and change the default tray in the drivers every time.

It doesn't seem like any of the three printers I listed are capable of doing this. In their manual, they seem to state you need to change the tray setting to the manual feeder in the driver settings to print to it. I also have an old LaserJet 6P that is like 12 year old here in the office that is capable of doing this and printing from the feeder tray when it's loaded. Are printer manufacturers not adding this feature anymore or am I missing something? If not, is there any way to add this functionality to a printer?

These days most sophisticated printers don't let you use the Bypass tray (aka Multi-purpose tray) as an old-fashioned manual feed. The problem is that modern printers have too many tray settings that may conflict with manual feed. Only simple, low-cost printers still have a real manual feed.

The Phaser 6300 lets you set the MPT to manual feed from the driver (under tray selection), but the functionality is not as you require. With that setting it will wait to print until you load paper in the MPF and press OK.

The C5500 also lets you set the MPT to manual feed, but I'm not familiar enough with the printer to know the exact functionality. Ditto for the C530. I suspect that both of them are similar to the 6300 though.
