hello i am trying to install wsus on windows server 2003 x64, so the installation is ok but when i open it from administrative tools, it asks me to connect to server, which i have no idea. so i tried all the servers in the network and didn't connect to any. i installed .net 1.1 and 2 and maybe 3 still didn't work. installed backround intelligence and still asking me to connect to server that i don't know.
i was using it on windows server 2003 standard edition with no problems. now it's not working since i uninstalled the active directory so it's not domain controller.
any help would be appreciated.

you have to connect to the server you installed it on. are you able to browse? if so, can you see the server you installed WSUS on?
