Is this possible? I know you can use a tool called BGINFO.exe to display System Information.

You can use a registry hack - or download and use TweakUI - see http://www.winxptutor.com/paintdesktopversion.htm

HKEY_CURRENT_USER = &H80000001
strComputer = WSHNetwork.Computername
Set objReg = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\default:StdRegProv")
strKeyPath = "Control Panel\Desktop"
objReg.CreateKey HKEY_CURRENT_USER, strKeyPath
ValueName = "PaintDesktopVersion"
dwValue = 1
objReg.SetDWORDValue HKEY_CURRENT_USER, strKeyPath, ValueName, dwValue
