I have been trying to set up DB Mail on SQL Server 2005 (Developer) for about 3 weeks. My company has granted me an account we use for DB Administration. I have send as permissions, and it has passed all SMPT authentication testing. The company has confirmed the SMTP server address that I am using. <br />

I am receiving the following error message when testing DB Mail with this account.<br />

The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 2 . Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.). )<br />

I have added my account and the mail group per troubleshooting instructions. I am an administrator of both the server and SQL Server 2005. HELP!
