DB Mail Authentication Error: Certificate Invalid
Hello Experts:
I have been trying to set up DB Mail on SQL Server 2005 (Developer) for about 3 weeks. My company has granted me an account we use for DB Administration. I have send as permissions, and it has passed all SMPT authentication testing. The company has confirmed the SMTP server address that I am using.
I am receiving the following error message when testing DB Mail with this account.
The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 2 . Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.). )
I have added my account and the mail group per troubleshooting instructions. I am an administrator of both the server and SQL Server 2005. HELP!
