I want to add field to Outlook Contact view

When I open a contact in outlook, if I look at the "Show" group, I see that my default view is General.  That is fine, but I would like to see all those fields (edit boxes) but also an additional field called "Category".  I know "Category" is a field because I can add it to my folder view (of all contacts) with the field chooser.  But I can't even find it in the contact record, little less get it to display with my other fields in the "General" view.  Can anyone tell me an easy way to be able to open a contact and see all the fields that I want in "one" view?
