Is it possible to have a mailto link that is clickable on a BGinfo desktop? I want to roll out basic information to our client computers consisting of their host name, the helpdesk extension number and also a link to send an email to the helpdesk. I can get the address to display but I cant seem to make it a hyperlink. is this even possible?

Many thanks

Hello there,

We also use BGinfo and we have already have tried this and were unsuccessful. BGinfo uses Bitmap images so you will not be able to insert a hyperlink.

Here is another person asking the same question.

The one thing you could try but might not work is create an HTML page with the information you want to add and try adding a custom file to BGinfo.

Hope this helps

What you might want to try to make an interactive button is Active Desktop.
