Hi all,

Can I insert numbered list fields in a Visio drawing?

I have a flow chart, and I want to number the boxes as they go down the page: 1, 2, etc., so I can match their numbers to numbered paragraphs in a Word document.

My first draft of the flow chart included the numbers as regular text. Of course, as soon as I needed to add a new box somewhere in the middle I had to renumber all those boxes below (after) the new box.

So I need something like SEQ fields that exist in Word.

Visio does have an autonumbering function for shapes. Select Tools/Add-ons/Visio Extras/Number Shapes... to try it. In the Number Shapes dialog, select "Auto number" then click the Advanced tab to select the sequence in which you'd like the numbers to be applied.
