IE password prompt

I have an intranet site that forces users to authenticate when they visit the site and also when they open a new instance of the same page but I have one user that does not get prompted for credentials. I have set IE sites to always prompt for credentials and cleared forms, cache cookies etc. i am stuck. any ideas

IE may not ask for the username and password if they match the ones he is using in windows.
