Using modrewrite to redirect folder

Hello I have this folder http://www.mydomain.com/eng/folder/ and I would like ANY content in there, to be redirected to http://www.mydomain.com

place that in a .htaccess in the http://www.mydomain.com/eng/folder/ directory
