Hello,

Is there anyone who could take a look on my lab test ? and explain me what wrong I did.
I`ll try to not post the router-configs here because it is more easy when you see the diagram drawing at the same time. So I`ll post the link here below, in hope that someone will take a couple min and look trough the configurations and the diagram.

In the configs you provided, R0 doesn't have any bgp configuration yet has bgp routes in the routing table, are these the full configs?

in the config, the OSPF should "redistribute" all connected subnets, therfore I can`t understand the problem...

Well the problem with the redistribute connected with BGP is that BGP's network commands unlike other protocols do not run the protocol on the interface, the router pretty much just checks to see if it knows how to get to the network and advertises. So when you redistribute connected hoping to catch the BGP routes it doesn't match everything. Your better off doing a

router ospf 1
redistribute bgp x subnets on both sides

well I did it now, but the routing table looks the same.... and I am still not able to reach other routers as described on the web page.

I was only able to do the command:

R0_2691_SW(config-router)#redistribute bgp 1
% Only classful networks will be redistributed

on the R0 and R5 (bgp) routers

Normally you would want to redistribute protocol to protocol

It wouldn't let you enter the subnet options?

no, there is no option for subnets :

R0_2691_SW(config-router)#redistribute bgp ?
  <1-65535>  Autonomous system number

I can only use the AS number...

Should be after the AS
--
2611XM(config-router)#redistribute bgp 1 ?
  metric       Metric for redistributed routes
metric-type  OSPF/IS-IS exterior metric type for redistributed routes
  route-map    Route map reference
subnets      Consider subnets for redistribution into OSPF
tag          Set tag for routes redistributed into OSPF

well, now I did it, I entered the command on both routers R0 and R5 (bgp routers)

R0_2691_SW(config-router)#redistribute bgp 1 subnets
R0_2691_SW(config-router)#

R5_2691_SW(config-router)#redistribute bgp 2 subnets
R5_2691_SW(config-router)#

so now I see the "sh ip route" displays all networks on all routers.... it is working now !!

Thank You very much for helping dude !!

I understand it now.

Best regards
