spiralfrog

i take care of the computers where i work and found spiralfrog on a users laptop. i went to remove this software but couldn't find it in the add/remove control panel. is there some other trick to get rid of this? googleing the answer to this didn't reveal an answer.

You should be able to find the spiralfrog download manager in the add/remove programs panel.  If it's not there, it may be that the binaries are still on the box but it's not registered, in which case you should just be able to delete the directory c:\program files\spiralfrog

Also, if it's auto-starting anything, make sure you remove it from the startup programs.  Best bet is probably to run hijackthis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis), and look for anything in there with spiralfrog in the name, check those boxes, and click fix selected.
