IFRAME in editable mode automatically makes URL's links

I have an IFRAME on my web page in editable mode which allows a user to enter text.

If the user is to type something like www.bbc.co.uk it will automatically get marked as a link and have <a> tags appended to it. This is literally as they type it. Is it some kind of automated thing with IFRAMES? If so, is it possible to disable it, or better still can i add code to when it automatically appends <a> tags so it will also set a target property of _blank.

Basically i want it so that if a user enters a link in the 'text view' clicking it will open the link in a new window, NOT in the current IFRAME.

I do not want to have a toolbar button whereby a user needs to click an option button in order to create a URL.

Thanks in advance
