Problem with WPA2 Preferred Network from Group Policy
I am having a problem with my Windows XP sp3 client trying to get a WPA2 preferred network from Group Policy. I can see it in the preferred network list but under authenication it is not set at all.
I have done gpupdate and it is running SP3 so it has the updates.
When I do a rsop wireless settings don't even show whats up with that??
So it is getting the name but not the authentication settings.

Another problem you might see is this computer will not show up in "My network Places" This is also a result of a netbios problem. In this case, there is no routing the browser service over DNS. Instead, you have to use WINS as the transporter.
To resolve this, follow the WINS/WAN configuration of the Browser service:
