There are a couple of ways i would like to do this.. There is a column that shows if the checkbox has been modified ie (Active Checkbox) that shows info like this :

1.Active = Active/Not Active.

 i want to report that and I give an IIF statement and display the word status whenever 1.Active occurs in the columns.

SWITCH(Left(Fields!ModfiedFields.Value,8)= "1.Active","Status" ( because the Active/Inactive can change)

However, there is another table for the Employee that shows he or she got terminated.If its NULL, then employee isnt but if a date is given, then the employee has been terminated. the issue i am having is that i want to report that if the employee status has changed .. to show as status but if they are terminated as well.. to show terminated instead of status..

Also, How to do do a IFF statement if the column says NULL .. i tried IS NOT NULL and such and says unknown syntax.. whats teh syntax for NULL? > 0 and such give me errors.
