I had to restore my laptop. When I backed it up there were no issues and it was fine. However now I am getting this error, Windows XP pro =Security accounts manager initialization failed. Device is not functioning  error status 0x0000001. Use safe mode check event log.
No dice. Enter safe mode and get the same message and it restarts as it did in normal boot.
As I have no way of getting in I need a fix I can use from a command prompt or if needed in recovery console to rectify this so I can get back into my Notebook. It is an HP-6000V custom AMD 4000 chip although I do not think this has anything to do with the problem.
I tried MS and they had a fix by replacing the SAM file but wanted to check with you first as you often have experiences they do not.
Thank you in advance for your kind help with this issue.
