Data Types In GridView

I am using a GridView for a web page using VS 2005.  The GridView allows data to be updated.

The issue that I am running into is that users are entering text into one of the date/time columns.  This causes the web page to return an error.  I wanted to ask how I can have some type of data type validation on the GridView.  I think this can be set by one of the options in the GridView wizard, but I don't know how.  Thanks
