How to get rid fo hidden charactors from Sybase BCP data dump

Last Modified: 2013-12-27
We have a database in Sybase v15.0 in a Sun Solaris.  When dumping data to a file using BCP utility and view the file in a PC (Windows XP), I often came across an unprintable character which was displayed as "^@" when open the file in gvim.

Attached file is a small snippet of the record swith this character.  One between "HECTOR|" and |M|"
and one between "|086329|" and "|L|".

Any suggestion on how to get rid of these characters?
