Error 5.7.1 when sending mail thru Exchange 2007

I have an Exchange 2007 SP1. Another application on my network is trying to send notification messages using this Exchange server. When message is sent following error message comes back:

"mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client does not have persmissions to send as this sender".

I also have Exchange 2003 server and when I set up SMTP connector to allow relay from this server, it works fine. In Exchange 2007, I've looked at Receive Connector, but thus far could not find a solution.
