What reports? How do they look like, what do they say and where do you get them from?
What backup software are you using and what method is used to backup the data on this system?
How are you backing up your data? Are you using NT backup or 3rd party software?

NTbackup? On AIX? Where can I download the AIX version for NTbackup?
What operating system are you using. Just to be clear I need to know the following:

What OS you are using
What method of backup you are using
Are your backups local or are they being stored externally

I can not assist you with the limited information that you are providing.

Are you using tar, cpio, fsdump, vxdump or some apps like EMC "Legato Networker", "Veritas NetBackup" or "Tivoli Storage Manager" for backup -- or something else?
What kind of reports are you talking about?

Hello all,
Thanks for your replies... here is a little more information:

The files that Oracle creates, are not being stored in a location that is backed up by the tape drive.  So the backups are just sitting on the disks.

This is Oracle 8i and 9i databases sitting on AIX 5.2 machines.

Files are copied to tape using Tivoli Storage Manager.

Our scheduled backups are nightly hot backups and weekly exports that take place on Saturdays.

I am told the archive log files are not in their designated locations for the 6th of July.  As long as nothing bad happens before the exports that take place on Sat I am told I should be ok..... (I hope)
