How can I check out an SVN repository to a network/samba share? Repository and working copy on two different machines

Hi everyone,

I have an SVN repository located on a Windows machine with SVN + TortoiseSVN installed, and I would like to check out all of the contents on my fedora box to a working copy in my web root, where I could revision the code (mainly PHP files). After im finished I would then check them back in/commit to the Windows box.

How can i do this on the LAN/Samba? Is there a better way to do what im doing?
Also, what does everyone recommend for GUI SVN clients on Linux?

Thank you,
