Outlook 2007 seems to generate Event ID 9646 on Exchange 2003 server
After I upgraded the clients in my organzation to Office 2007 package, my exchange server is much slower, and the following errors are generated for evey user when they have their mailboxes open.
Event id 9649
Source: MSExchangeIS
Mapi session "/o=EPF/ou=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/cn=RECIPIENTS/cn=BEN EDICTE" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtFolder".
As a result I have now had to downgrade some of the clients to see if the error message disappears when I use Outlook 2003 instead. The users have reportet that the mail system has been much slower after I upgraded the clients, this might be a result of these errors.
Anyone got an idea for me what to do about this problem?
Best regards,
Marius

Hey,
Thanks for you reply. The clients have been updated with the latest upgrades from microsoft. However I will try to spesifically install the file above on a few clients to see if the error message then disappears from these clients mailboxes.

Btw, the service pack did not fix the problem. So there must be something else. I will not upgrade the server part, and then later try to upgrade the clients again to see it the problem then is discontinued.

Hey guys,
May this error be because the users have access to other users mailboxes? Every users has two or more mailboxes open at the same time. I have checked through the amount of folders, and no one has 500 folders.
